Expenditures of Local Governments in South Carolina (counties, cities, and school districts) grew 215.5% over the 20 years spanning Fiscal Year 1993 to Fiscal Year 2014, rising faster than Gross State Product (145%), State Personal Income (168%), and inflation plus population growth (94.1%).
